Web produced by: Ian Preuth, Laura Hornsby A tornado watch remains in effect until 7 p.m. for many Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky counties after strong winds, rain, and in some cases hail hit the Tri-State Tuesday afternoon.
Possible tornadic activity was also reported in Boone County, Kentucky shortly after 3 p.m., but the National Weather Service has yet to confirm the touchdown.
Other parts of the Tri-State have been pounded by heavy rains, and Duke Energy reports that as of 4:45 p.m., over 14,000 residents remain without power.

At 5 p.m., Xavier University decided to cancel Tuesday evening classes after losing power in the storms.
Earlier Tuesday afternoon, lightning from a storm system passing through Wyoming, Ohio caused one house to ignite in flames shortly after noon. Firefighters on the scene found a large black line down the side of the home that may have been a result of the strike. There were no reports of injuries and firefighters were able to quickly control the fire.
In Kenton County, a large tree has reportedly fallen across Walton Nicholson Road at Banklick, and the 9 newsroom has heard numerous calls for wires that have fallen across roadways as a result of Tuesday afternoon's storm.
