Several local students have been disciplined over a racially charged text message that was sent to a classmate at Little Miami High School.
Some of the students say the root of the problem is over an interracial couple at the school.
The text message told an African-American student to watch his back.
The message is too inflammatory to repeat, but the N-word and curse words were also used.
Rayzel and Raymond Wilson are twins in the 9th grade at Little Miami High School in Morrow, Ohio.
Rayzel says he started having problems with another student when he started dating the student's ex-girlfriend who is a white female at the school.
"He was jealous of that. Ever since then, he's had a little hatred between me and my brother," Rayzel said.
Last Thursday, the twins say they were walking through the building after school when they were approached by the student.
They say they were forced to fight.
"He followed me and he got into my face over and over again calling me out my name over and over again, so that left me with no choice," said Raymond.
Selena Wilson says all three boys were suspended, but the intimidation allegedly continued after her son's girlfriend received a text message warning her son to watch his back.
"We've gotten along with everyone in the past at the school and my children have as well, until the dating occurred. I just want it to be addressed," explained Mrs. Wilson.
The Little Miami School District says it has a zero tolerance policy.
Raymond and Rayzel were both suspended for getting into a fight on school grounds.
The other students involved with the racially charged text message were also disciplined.
"We have a zero tolerance policy for ethnic and racial intimidation. Because of that, we've been in contact with the family. We have a plan in place to ensure their students are safe when they return to school," said Little Miami School District Community Relations Coordinator, Lisa Knodel.
The school district says it encouraged the Wilson family to speak with police.
Hamilton Township police say they're investigating, but so far no charges have been filed.
