Students To Get H1N1 Vaccine In N.Ky.

EDGEWOOD, Ky. -- The Northern Kentucky Health Department is bringing H1N1 vaccine to students across the area.

There will be immunization clinics at 19 schools in Boone, Campbell and Kenton County schools within the next few weeks.

There have been several clinics across the area, but these are the first school-based clinics. Only students and staff of the schools will be given the vaccine.

Information packets will be provided for the schools to send to parents. They will include consent forms.

Health workers from county health centers will be working at the clinics. Due to staff shortages, the health centers in Boone, Campbell, Grant and Kenton counties will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through January 22.

Vaccine clinics will be held at the following schools:

Holmes High School - Nov. 30
Immaculate Heart of Mary - Dec. 1
Walton Verona High School - Dec. 1
Covington Catholic High School - Dec. 2
Dayton Independent Schools - Dec. 2
Southgate Independent Schools - Dec. 3
Ludlow High School - Dec. 3
Dixie Heights High School - Dec.7
Beechwood High School - Dec. 7
Campbell County High School - Dec. 8
Campbell County Middle School - Dec. 8
Scott High School - Dec. 9
Simon Kenton High School - Dec. 10
Lloyd High School - Dec. 11
St. Joseph School Cold Spring - Dec. 14
Newport High School - Dec. 14
Silver Grove Independent Schools - Dec. 16
Bellevue Independent Schools - Dec. 16
Highlands High School - Dec. 16
