A new study suggests that the swine flu isn't as contagious as other pandemic strains.

The US Center For Disease Control worked with London researchers for the study.

The research found that there is a one in eight chance of catching the swine flu from another person in your home.

On average it took about two and a half days for symptoms to emerge in other members of the family.

The only exception in the study was children, who are twice as likely to catch the H1N1 virus as adults.

Research has found about 60 percent of reported cases of swine flu have been in children.
