A relationship between a teacher and student in Clinton County is being investigated.
Robin Pickering, a teacher at East Clinton Middle School in Clinton County, is charged with sexual battery involving an 11-year-old.
Police say the allegations involve Pickering's relationship with a former student from December 2006 to April 2007.
Pickering's attorney says his client is astonished by the allegations. Pickering has been suspended without pay by the school district.
