Paul Brown Before The Bengals Ravens Game
1:03 p.m.-- Welcome to another day of football blogging. They just played the national anthem at the stadium with a flag that was 35-yards wide. There was a flyover on a fabulous day for football. I parked near city hall and walked to the stadium. Great spirit...lots of tailgaters. Lines and lines of people for the porta-potties and fans wearing Bengals jerseys. Carson Palmer's #9 is far and away the most popular jersey. I'll be checking in for every score or big play...enjoy the game.

1:18 p.m.--
The Bengals have driven for a touchdown on their first possession today.  The Bengals went 73 yards in 12 plays and consumed 6:05. The scoring play was a six yard pass from Carson Palmer to Andre Caldwell. The big play was a 21 yard run by Cedric Benson on a misdirection that got the ball to the 8.  So..
8:55 to go in the first quarter, Bengals lead 7-0.

1:45p.m.--The Bengals have scored two touchdowns in the first quarter against the Baltimore Ravens. The Bengals just went 80 yards in ten plays with Cedric Benson running the final yard for the touchdown. Chad Ocho Cinco had a key catch on third down between a couple of defenders for a 17 yard gain. There was also a pass interference penalty on the Ravens that resulted in a 24 yard gain for the Bengals. 2:23 to go in the first quarter, the Bengals lead the Ravens 14-0.

1:52 p.m--We've reached the end of the first quarter at Paul Brown Stadium, it's the Bengals 14-0 over the Ravens. The Ravens have the ball at their own 40 yard line. It's third and 8 when the second quarter begins.

2:00 p.m.--Chris Henry has just been carted off the field with 14:29 to go in the second quarter. He caught a pass for 20 yard pickup to the Bengals 40. He was conscious and sitting upright in the cart.  We're waiting for an update.

2:08 p.m.--We're told that Chris Henry suffered a left forearm injury. He has been taken to the locker room.
He will not return to the game.

2:12 p.m.--Shayne Graham has just kicked a 23 yard field goal for the Bengals. They lead the Ravens 17-0 with 7:45 to go in the second quarter. Total dominance by the Bengals...they have had scoring drives that consumed 6:58, 4:44 and 6:05. So far, the defense has stifled the Ravens offense.

2:25 p.m.--We're at the two minute warning with the Bengals leading the Ravens 17-0. The Bengals didn't have to punt until the 3:00 mark of the second quarter. Two plays later, a Joe Flacco pass was intercepted by Leon Hall. The Bengals have the ball at their own 48.

2:33 p.m.--
It's halftime at PBS. It was all Bengals the entire half, both offensively and defensively. They lead the Ravens 17-0. The Ravens have only 17rushing yards and 27 passing yards in the half. I'm going to grab a halftime coney...See you in a few minutes.

2:55 p.m--The Bengals have confirmed that Chris Henry suffered a forearm fracture earlier today. The Bengals have the ball early in the third quarter after Johnathan Joseph intercepted a Joe Flacco pass at the Bengals 3 yard line.

3:18 p.m.--A pretty dull third quarter at PBS. The Bengals say linebacker Keith Rivers has suffered a right calf injury. He's not expected to come back today. Still 17-zip Bengals.

3:23 p.m.--A very entertaining game came to a grinding bore in the third quarter. The two defenses dominated and the Bengals continue to hold a 17-0 lead as we go to the fourth quarter. The Ravens will have the ball at their own 45 yard line. Dennis Janson is sitting next to me. He says the Ravens have only 78 yards of total offense through the first three quarters. They're playing "Hang on Sloopy" in the stadium. What is this, an Ohio State game? How about a UC song?

3:35 p.m.--Ray Rice has just scored on a short run for Baltimore, so this still might be a game in the fourth quarter. The Ravens drove 65 yards on eight plays and consumed less than three minutes. 17-7 Bengals with 12:54 still to play.

3:46 p.m.--The Baltimore Ravens just missed a chance to move to within a touchdown of the Bengals. They got the ball back on a Chad Ocho Cinco fumble. They took the ball down to the Bengals 28. But Steve Hauschka just missed a 38 yard field goal attempt. 6:12 to go in the fourth quarter..it's 17-7 Bengals.
Attendance today, 64,313.

4:05 p.m.--We're at the two minute warning at PBS. Robert Geathers just sacked Joe Flacco for a loss of ten yards. The Ravens are facing a fourth down with 29 yards to go at their own 25. Flacco back to pass..and he gets sacked again. This time by Jonathan Fanene for a loss of nine. The Bengals have the ball with 1:50 to go and a 17-7 lead. I need to head to the locker room for riveting Marvin Lewis comments. This ends today's Blogapalooza.

4:12 p.m.--The Bengals win 17-7 and improve to 6-2 on the year.
