CINCINNATI -- The Big East Championship and BCS Bowl berth will be clinched when the University of Cincinnati Bearcats and Pittsburgh Panthers clash at Heinz Field on December 5.

The Big East announced Wednesday that the game, which will be televised nationally by ABC, will kick off at noon.

The No. 5 Bearcats (10-0, 6-0 Big East) have a bye this week before they host Illinois (3-7) at Nippert Stadium on November 27.

No. 8 Pittsburgh (9-1, 5-0 Big East) take on West Virginia on November 27 before they play the Bearcats.

UC is looking to win their second straight Big East Championship. The Bearcats fell to the Virginia Tech Hokies in the Orange Bowl last season.
