Tons Of Pot Stashed In Door Knobs

CALEXICO, Calif. (AP) -- Customs agents are slamming the door on three tons of pot -- stashed in a shipment of door knobs. U.S. Customs and Border Protection reports seizing 6,000 pounds of marijuana at a cargo inspection area at the border about 120 miles east of San Diego.
Authorities say the pot, packed in cardboard boxes, has a street value of nearly $6 million. The driver, a Mexican national, was also arrested. His name hasn't been released.
