Tree Killing Bugs Spotted In Tri-State

Last Update: 6/29/2007 12:39 pm
A group is looking into ways to use trees being killed by bugs.

The Emerald Ash Borer has been spotted in the Tri-state and is being blamed for the killing of many trees.

A task force is now considering options for all the lumber that can be used.

Some options on the table are to build a lodge at East Fork State Park in Clermont County, have Duke Energy burn the trees along with coal to make power or to use the wood as railroad ties.
