Tropical Storm Hanna is set to make landfall in the U.S. Friday evening after already killing more than 100, but a larger storm may bring with it more severe issues.
As of Friday morning, Hanna is less than 500 miles off the coast of Wilmington, North Carolina.
The storm left at least 137 people dead in Haiti after widespread flooding there.
In the U.S., some southeastern states have declared emergencies and officials are encouraging some residents to head more inland.
Hanna could bring heavy rains and winds stretching from South Carolina to Maine.
Meanwhile, Hurricane Ike is a category four storm. While it is still far off in the Atlantic, it already has winds of 135 miles per hour.
