We put a gadget that claims to be the "World's Most Advanced Remote Control" to the test for Try-It-Out Tuesday.
It's the voice activated Invoca 3. You have to pay close attention to the instructions because there are a ton of detailed steps that include teaching the remote your voice.
To use it, you say a keyword then the remote awaits the command.
The remote does work. Our tester says it would be perfect for those physically unable to use a remote. But as for its claim, the Invoca is hardly the worlds most advanced remote. It can't connect to a computer for easy programming and it doesn't have a built in display.
As for the voice command, do you really want to say, "Channel Up," over and over again? Our tester decided it's actually easier to push the buttons.
You can buy it online for $30.
This is an unscientific test with unscientific results.
