CINCINNATI -- Thanksgiving is usually all about tradition, but today in Clifton, it took on a whole new twist.
About 30 people gathered at the Clifton United Methodist Church to celebrate Thanksgiving with a "vegan" pot luck.
If you're not familiar, vegans do not eat meat, fish, poultry, eggs or even dairy products in order to better the environment.
The feast was sponsored by Earth-Save Cincinnati, a group dedicated to practicing a vegan way of life.
“So, our organization is mainly about educating people, not forcing, not telling them that what they're doing is wrong,” said John Mooter, “because we don't think there's a right or wrong issue. We just think it's a choice.”
The event also featured an educational program focusing on how an "Animal-Compassionate" family lives its daily life.
