Two Dead In Colerain Twp Apparent Murder Suicide

Last Update: 7/04/2009 3:07 pm
Two people are dead in an apparent murder suicide in Colerain Township.

Police were called to a home in the 3600 block of Twinview Drive just before Midnight.

Emergency crews found a man and a woman both suffering from gun shot wounds.

Police say James Donaldson, 62, forced his way into the home by breaking down the front door.  Officials say Donaldson confronted his ex-wife, Pamela Hardy, 53, in her bedroom and shot her.  Donaldson then shot himself.

They were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Donaldson and Hardy had been married for four years.  Their divorce was finalized in April 2009.

Hardy's sister was sleeping in the home at the time of the shootings.  She was awakened by the confrontation, and called 911.

Police say the couple did not have a history of domestic violence.
