Police are investigating after two teens were shot during an argument in Falmouth, Kentucky, and one reportedly crashed his car while trying to drive away.
The incident began just after 8:30 Monday night at a home in the
200 block of Maple Street.
Police say an 18-year-old man from Union, Kentucky shot a 19-year-old man at the residence. The two reportedly struggled over the gun, and the 18-year-old was shot in the face.
Despite his serious injury, the younger teen allegedly tried to drive away from the scene, eventually crashing at the intersection of
US 27 and KY 22/Ridgeway Avenue. Witnesses say he suffered an additional head injury in the crash and was flown by medical helicopter to University Hospital.
His 19-year-old victim was flown to the University of Kentucky Hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Police have not yet released the teens' names or conditions. The incident remains under investigation.
