Our stretch of dry, unseasonably mild weather has finally come to an end. Rain continues to move across most areas of the Tri-State. As a little stronger piece of energy works in later tonight and very early Monday morning, we could even see a few thunderstorms, but no strong or severe storms are expected.
The slow-moving storm system will keep off-and-on rain around through at least Monday evening. Most areas will receive a good soaking with forecast models indicating between .75" and 1.25" before the rain comes to an end Monday evening. In addition to the rain, it will turn much colder with the mercury holding steady or even slowly falling through the 40s Monday afternoon. So, keep both the umbrella AND coat close by as you go about your day.
An area of high pressure will begin moving in on Tuesday and bring us another stretch of nice weather. Tuesday may start off with quite a few clouds, but we'll see increasing sunshine throughout the day and highs in the upper 50s. Wednesday and Thursday will be even nicer with lots of sunshine and highs in the lower 60s.
Our next chance of rain after tonight and Monday will be Thursday night and Friday. Yet another system could bring some showers and thunderstorms Saturday night and Sunday. Enjoy the week ahead!
