CINCINNATI -- On Thursday morning the city of Cincinnati will get a new corporate sponsor and a new donation for its winter shelter program. The shelter opens every winter when temperatures drop below 10 degrees and when the Drop Inn Center is full.
The official announcement will come Thursday morning at 10 a.m. at the
Over-The-Rhine Recreation Center.Meanwhile, snow plow drivers from around Butler County are getting a jump start on that first winter storm. The county's Engineer's office is hosting a three-day class and obstacle course for drivers. The training wraps up with a snow rodeo for drivers on Friday, Oct. 30.
Last year Butler County used more than 5,300 tons of salt to keep roads clear.
