CINCINNATI - Looking for something to do this weekend? WCPO and CityBeat have teamed up to bring you the top 9 weekend things to do in the Tri-State.
1. New exhibit at Manifest Gallery
"The Love Boat (abandoned)" and "Out of the Gray" exhibits feature toy-like sculptural assemblages and sophisticated graphite workings, respectively; the galleries are on display at the Manifest Creative Research Gallery through Feb. 24.
Townsend’s work is in the first room of the gallery, while the group show is staged in both the rear Drawing Room and Manifest’s smaller, across-the-hall Parallel Space. While each exhibition demonstrates Manifest’s continued interest in the artist’s craft, the former’s solo work is particularly playful and experimental.

2. "Collapse"continues at Know Theatre
Allison Moore’s new play, Collapse, the current offering at Know Theatre, is quite literally a play for our anxious times. Its four characters are each driven by some form of anxiety unlikely in previous generations. Moore has tapped into the contemporary zeitgeist to write a story that, while full of zany, improbably humor, nevertheless hits a sensitive nerve that you’re likely to recognize and perhaps feel.
It continues at the Know Theatre of Cincinnati through March 3.

3. CCM presents "Don Giovanni"
Mozart’s "Don Giovanni" has all the hallmarks of his legendary literary counterpart.
In the space of 24 hours, the Don kills a man, attempts a few more seductions and willingly faces eternal punishment rather than repent. CCM Professor of Opera and renowned director Nic Muni calls his staging a “re-imagination,” setting it in 18th century Seville.

4. Laugh out loud with comedian Chris Porter
Chris Porter talks about social etiquette, making keen points in his jokes about society without preaching to the audience in the process.
“I try to make it about society for the most part,” he explains.
He believes some folks are more skillful at doing that than others. “I just hate it when people are preachy in a comedy club. It’s not a rally, that’s not where we’re at right now."

5. Annual Cincy Winter Beerfest
This winter has been a warm one, but fickle weather is nothing new to Cincinnatians. What could be more familiar in these parts of town than the crazy weather?
Our love of a good craft beer. Drink to the weather (or curse it if it finally snows this year) with a crisp beer at the fifth annual Cincy Winter Beerfest.
The fifth Cincy Winter Beerfest has over 300 craft beers, and tickets include 25 tasting samples plus a souvenir cup. The event runs through Saturday at Duke Energy Convention Center downtown. Get ticket information here .
6. Dancin' the night away
VINYL reWIND, billed as a lively, entertaining and thoughtful one-night-only program by this Cincinnati-based company, reprises recent short dance works to evocative vinyl hits like “These Arms of Mine,” “Sea of Love,” “A Little Help From My Friends,” plus a world premiere to the Beatles’ “Help!”
The performance showcases young love and its many permutations amid the spirit of freedom and rebellion against the status quo that characterized ‘50s and ‘60s music themes.
It takes place at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Jarson Kaplan Theater in the Aronoff Center for the Arts downtown. Get details here .
