Pets Rescued From Burning Wayne Twp. Home

A Wayne Township family's pets are safe and sound after firefighters rescued them from a burning home Wednesday morning.

Crews arrived at the home in the 3200 block of State Route 131 in Clermont County just before 8 a.m. to find heavy smoke and flames in the front of the building.

Four area fire departments responded to assist the Wayne Township firefighters extinguish the flames.

No one was home at the time the fire started.  According to fire crews, no one was injured and all of the animals in the home made it out safely.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
