HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The mayor of Highland Heights has asked the FBI to investigate an "accounting discrepancy" in budget of the Highland Heights-Southgate Police Authority.
Mayor Gregory Meyers said he discovered a discrepancy while recently reviewing city financial records.
The mayor said he decided to refer the matter to the Federal Bureau after consulting with the city attorney, Steve Franzen. He said the city will fully cooperate with the FBI.
