COVINGTON, Ky. - Former Clermont County Commissioner Archie Wilson is undergoing unspecified treatment and will surrender to authorities after that treatment is completed.
Wilson is facing charges in Kenton County for soliciting prostitution and drug trafficking.
Kenton County Attorney Garry Edmondson tells 9 News that Wilson’s lawyer says his client will surrender himself after treatment is completed. Exactly what that treatment is or how long that would take has not been specified. Wilson’s attorney, Bob Lotz, did not reveal to Edmondson where Wilson is being treated.
Wilson was charged after a lengthy criminal investigation that began with a woman identifying him as a client of hers. That woman, Amanda Lay, claims Wilson paid her and other girls for sex not only with cash but with cocaine.
Wilson resigned his office last week citing health concerns and concerns from his doctor. The charges came to light this week.
Wilson could face up to 15 months in prison, if convicted.
