Benefit to aid two Northern Kentucky agencies that assist the homeless

PARK HILLS, Ky. - A special benefit Friday will explore the issue homelessness and will lend support to two agencies that provide shelter to hundreds of Northern Kentucky families and individuals.

The event, titled “Homeless to Hopeful,” will take place from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22 at the theater at Notre Dame Academy at 1699 Hilton Drive in Park Hills, Ky. 41011.

The evening will begin with the HBO documentary, titled “ Homeless: The Motel Kids of Orange County ,” and also will feature the KyPost.com multi-media examination of homelessness, titled “ Voices from the Cold .” Additionally, a panel comprised of former homeless individuals will tell how shelters were critical for them as they moved out of homelessness and put their lives back together.

The benefit will help support the work of the Emergency Shelter of Northern Kentucky and Family Promise of Northern Kentucky. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students. To order tickets or for more information, call (859) 431-6840 or email janeet@familypromisenky.org .
