Gas prices climb in Kentucky

Price at the pump climbs 4.6 cents per gallon

Average gasoline prices in Kentucky rose 4.6 cents per gallon over the past week to $2.62 per gallon to start the week, according to the gasoline price website

Gas prices in Northern Kentucky ranged higher from $2.63 per gallon to $2.69 per gallon, a sampling of area prices found.

Meanwhile, the national average for a gallon o regular fell 1.2 cents per gallon over the past week to $2.69 per gallon.

The price at the pump in Kentucky stood 11.6 cents per gallon higher than the same day a year ago but 6.8 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.

The national average was 9.4 cents per gallon higher than a year ago and 5.8 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.
