FLORENCE, Ky. - Residential home sales in Northern Kentucky ended the year on an encouraging note with nearly 5 percent more homes sold in December 2011 compared with December 2010, figures issued by the Northern Kentucky Association of Realtors show.
The December 4.95 percent uptick from 323 to 339 was reflective of an increase in home sales reported across the nation in December – the third straight monthly sales increase.
Still, for the year Northern Kentucky home sales were down 2.14 percent over 2010, according to the report.
A total of 4,299 homes were sold in 2011 compared with 4,393 in 2010. The average price of homes sold remained about the same at $147,090.
The total volume of sales declined from $646,162,838 in 2010 to $632,340,588 in 2011.
