KENTON COUNTY, Ky. - A stretch of KY 17 in Kenton County will receive signs dedicating it as the Charles Lee Meyers Highway. Signs with the new name will mark the highway from KY 16 to Interstate 275.
A sign unveiling will take place Friday, July 30 at Pioneer Park at 11 a.m. Sen. Jack Westwood and other state officials are expected to be in attendance.
Meyers is a retired employee of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 6 Office, who served for more than 40 years. He was instrumental in the widening and realignment of the stretch of KY 17 that will soon bear his name. He currently serves as the County Engineer for Kenton County Public Works.
