COVINGTON, Ky. - A northern Kentucky library has received a rare series of books on World War I.
The Sons of the American Legion and the American Legion Moon Brothers Post 275 in Independence donated "The Source Records of the Great War" this month to the Covington branch of the Kenton County library. The set includes seven gold-leafed volumes on the war that ran from 1914-1918, The Kentucky Enquirer reported (http://bit.ly/xtSzQe).
John Dietz with the Sons of the American Legion said he came across the series on eBay and the group bought them so they could be preserved.
Dietz said it is important for future generations to understand and appreciate the nation's history.
