COVINGTON, Ky. - The largest diabetes treatment center in the region will open its doors in Covington Thursday, July 22.

The new St. Elizabeth Regional Diabetes Center will employ six board-certified endocrinologists and 14 diabetes educators and medical professionals at St. Elizabeth Covington. The center aims to be a one-stop shop for those with diabetes.

“There are many things that make this center unique in this region,” Dr. Linda Hermiller, medical director of the center, said in a release. “It’s not only the largest such practice here in Greater Cincinnati, but it’s one of the largest east of the Mississippi. This allows our patients to receive appointments quickly and then to get comprehensive and complete care from their very first visit on through all their follow-ups.”

The center includes examination and treatment rooms, state-of-the-art equipment, a healthcare library and conference rooms for group education classes.

The center's staff can also offer specialist support for various endocrine and metabolic disorders, including adrenal disease, pituitary disease, thyroid disease and osterporosis.
