RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. - Police in Riviera Beach, Florida continue to search for a gunman who wore a mask resembling President Barack Obama while he robbed a McDonald's restaurant on Saturday.
Riviera Beach police released a surveillance photo of the suspect Tuesday afternoon. Investigators say the gunman entered the restaurant at 3551 Broadway just before 6:30 and walked behind the counter holding a pistol.
The suspect then ordered employees to the back of the office at gunpoint. He demanded that the manager remove money from the safe and put it into a cloth bag, according to police.
Police say the suspect threatened to shoot the employees if they didn't remain in the back office.
He was seen leaving on foot toward the northeast.
Police say he got away with about $1,000.
The suspect was wearing white gloves and all black clothing and is roughly 6’0 ft, 170 lbs, and armed with a silver semi-automatic handgun.
