Burlington, Ky. - Elmer Garland Dorgan, 82, of Burlington, Ky. died Thursday, Aug. 12 in Burlington.

He was an electrician with ADT, a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Young at Heart in Latonia, Ky., a former scout leader at Corpus Christi Church in Newport, Ky. and a Navy veteran of World War II.

His wife, Betty J. Miller Dorgan; son, Robert "Bobby" Dorgan and daughter, Cindy Luken, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his sons, Donald "Joe" Dorgan of Burlington, Ky., Thomas "Mike" Dorgan of Independence, Ky., Garry Dorgan of Erlanger, Ky., and William "Bill" Dorgan of Villa Hills, Ky.; daughters, Mary Johnson of Topeka, Kan., Pamela Neace and Sue Dorgan, both of Burlington, Ky., Becky Ramsey of Erlanger, Ky.; brother, Thomas Dorgan of Cold Spring, Ky.; sister, Audrey Cliff of Silver Grove, Ky.; 25 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17 at Mary Queen of Heaven Church in Erlanger, Ky. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16 at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home in Fort Thomas, Ky. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, Ky.
