COVINGTON, Ky. - Two months to the day a Covington bank is robbed, police now have a suspect in custody.
Joseph Weir, 39, of Covington, is now in the Kenton County Detention Center charged with robbery.
On Dec. 5, the Huntington Bank at 540 Madison Avenue was held up by a man dressed in a camouflage jacket and black sweat pants.
According to police, the suspect gave the teller a note demanding money and implied that he had a gun. A weapon was never shown.
On Feb. 5, police arrested and charged Weir.
Weir's bond has been set at $50,000.
