Covington and SD1 reveal flood investigation

Covington, Ky. - The City of Covington and Sanitation District 1 will host a community meeting at 7p.m.  Sept. 2 at The Commission Chambers City Building, 638 Madison Ave.

SD1 will share the findings of their investigation with local residents into the storm sewer and sanitation systems affected by the historic rain events of July 13 and July 21.

Latonia, Wallace Woods, and Peaselberg communities experienced rainfall accumulation of three to five inches within a three-hour period on July13 and one inch within 15 minutes on July 21.
