CINCINNATI - United Way of Greater Cincinnati - Northern Kentucky is launching a blitz to enroll Northern Kentucky children in the Kentucky Children's Health Insurance Program (KCHIP).

The KCHIP Enrollment Blitz will be from April 12-16. They are hoping to enroll eligible families and promote the benefits of the state program.

KCHIP covers doctors' visits, dental check-ups, hospital stays, emergency services, mental health services, prescription drugs, and more. Families of four who earn $44,100 or less are eligible to participate in the free or low-cost health coverage program. Children must be eligible under these guidelines and under the age of 19.

Several agency and community partners are participating in the Enrollment Blitz, including Brighton Center, Covington Independent Public Schools, HealthPoint Family Care, Northern Kentucky Independent District Health Department, St. Elizabeth Medical Center, United Way of Greater Cincinnati, and Welcome House of Northern Kentucky.
