ERLANGER, Ky. - Customs and Border Protection officers at the DHL Express Consignment Operation in Erlanger discovered 48 pounds of marijuana inside a false compartment in a wooden bookcase.

CBP officers found the drugs after routine X-rays showed anomalies last week. The narcotics were shipped from Mexico and destined for Texas. No arrests have been made in relation to the seizure as the case is still under investigation.

CBP officers and agriculture specialists are stationed at express consignment facilities located throughout the country.
