Rescue units called to Florence complex after dog falls through pond ice

FLORENCE - A dog fell through ice on a pond in Florence on Sunday morning.

Boone County rescue units were called to a trailer park off of Green Lawn Avenue in Erlanger after a one-year-old Huskie fell through the ice, according to authorities.

The call came in around 10:15 a.m. on Sunday.

Authorities report the dog was attempting to cross the frozen body of water when the thin layer of ice on top gave way. Rescue units were trying to rescue the dog around 10:30 a.m., according to reports.
