COVINGTON, Ky. - A fugitive task force in Northern Kentucky is marking its one-year anniversary of taking dangerous fugitives off our streets.

The US Marshals Central Kentucky Fugitive Task Force started full time operations in May 2009.

One night a week, members of the task force go searching for Northern Kentucky's most wanted.

"Every week you have to bring your own warrants. We have from child molesters to bank robbers to flagrant non support. Everything that you can imagine that's a felony we serve," said Tim Vinson, Fugitive Task Force member.

The task force includes officers from Boone, Kenton, Campbell and Grant counties along with Kentucky Probation and Parole.

Local officers are sworn in as Deputy US Marshals allowing them to cross state lines and make arrests.

On Tuesday, task force leaders announced 801 felons were arrested as a result of their work over the last year.

"There is a saying I've always remembered and if you look at our Kentucky flag it has on it United We Stand, Divided We Fall and I think the proof shows here today we are united," said US Marshal Loran Carl, Eastern District of Kentucky.
