SILVER GROVE, Ky. - Wanda Moran will stand before Silver Grove city council Tuesday night hoping to keep her dogs.
Council became aware of her six dogs after the Silver Grove Dairy Bar complained that barking dogs were disturbing it's customers.
Silver Grove only permits two dogs per residence.
"I can't blame them for enforcing their ordinance but I want them to have a heart," said Moran.
She says she didn't know about the ordinance and says that some of her dogs are older and when they die she won't replace them.
"I've had people call me from California. They've called me from Wisconsin. I mean, they've called me from all over the world," explained Moran.
She says the message from her supporters is the same.
"Keep your dogs. Don't go down without a fight," she said.
She may be in for a fight. In a conversation with a council member Monday night 9News learned that Silver Grove city council views the situation as a "slippery slope."
If council ignores it's own ordinance by allowing her to keep all six dogs the city would lose it's ability to enforce any of it's other laws.
Wanda says she is prepared for council to say no.
"I'll say take me to court because you know I might lose whatever but I'll go I'm not going to give up my dogs," Moran said.
Council is scheduled to meet at City Hall Tuesday at 7:00 PM. Moran says some sort of demonstration is scheduled for 6:00 PM outside.
