CINCINNATI - A man who police say held up a Delhi Township bank Thursday afternoon did not make it very far after the crime.
The PNC bank at 6105 Cleves Warsaw Pike was robbed shortly before 2 p.m.
Delhi police say Shaun Michael James, 29, of Cleves, displayed a firearm, handed a pillow case to a teller and told her to "fill it."
James then got into a Hyundai Accent and fled westbound on Cleves Warsaw.
Approximately 10 minutes after the robbery, a plain clothes Delhi police officer spotted a vehicle matching the description traveling in the 5500 block. A Mt. St. Joseph officer also spotted the vehicle at the same time.
Officers pulled James over in the 5200 block of Cleves Warsaw where he was taken into custody without incident. The money taken in the offense was recovered in the trunk. The firearm, however, has not yet been recovered. James told police he threw the gun out of the car's window after the robbery.
Police have not released any other information at this time.
