PADUCAH, Ky. - A former worker at the McCracken County Humane Society has been jailed after pleading guilty to charges involving the improper euthanasia of animals.

Prosecutor Todd Jones told The Paducah Sun that Beau Anderson reported to jail on Monday to serve a 60-day sentence after entering a plea deal on Friday calling for a 10-month conditional discharge as long as there are no further offenses and Anderson no longer works with animals.

Anderson had worked at the animal shelter as its euthanasia specialist.
