SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. - Police arrested two people for leaving two children, including an infant, inside a car outside the Bullitt County Courthouse, about 100 yards from the county sheriff's department.

Detective Scotty McGaha from the sheriff's department told WLKY-TV that they found a 15-month-old baby and an 8-year-old girl alone in a Jeep on Wednesday morning outside the courthouse.

The mother, 28-year-old Tabbatha Sue Moseley, told police she went inside the courthouse with her boyfriend to use the bathroom. Both Moseley and 22-year-old Joseph H. Smith were charged with second-degree wanton endangerment.

Earlier this week an 8-month-old child died in Louisville after being left in a hot car for hours.
