HARTFORD, Ky. - A former high school basketball coach accused of sexual activity involving three juveniles has been sentenced to probation.

The Messenger-Inquirer reports that Terry Nofsinger received the sentence Thursday in Ohio Circuit Court after he pleaded guilty in August to a single count of unlawful transaction with a minor. Originally, Nofsinger had been charged with five counts of sodomy, nine counts of sexual abuse, 14 counts of unlawful transaction with a minor and one count of complicity.

The deal requires Nofsinger, who had coached basketball at Ohio County High School, to be on supervised parole for five years and get counseling. It also forbids him from working at schools in any capacity.
