LONDON, Ky. - A mistrial has been declared in London, where a woman was being tried in the shooting death of her husband.

WKYT-TV in Lexington reported jurors said were unable to reach a verdict in the trial of Lisa Gilliam on Wednesday afternoon. The judge send jurors back to deliberate further, but they returned again, saying they were deadlocked.

Gilliam told investigators her husband, Larry Gilliam, shot himself in the chest while she was in another part of the victim's law office in Laurel County in January 2011. Larry Gilliam was 59 years old.

Prosecutors were unavailable for comment, following the mistrial.

One of Lisa Gilliam's attorneys, Robert Norfleet, said his client's story isn't going to change when she faces the next jury.

A pretrial hearing for the retrial was scheduled for Oct. 19.
