LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The FBI is searching for two African men charged with illegally distributing prescription drugs and cashing more than $6 million in checks from a storefront in south Louisville where agents found the stimulant khat.

Abdalla Hajisufi, a native of Somalia, and his son, Mohamed Hajisufi, a native of Kenya, missed their scheduled arraignments in June in federal court in Louisville. They haven't been seen in Louisville since mid-May, and the FBI considers the pair fugitives. The U.S. attorney's office on Tuesday sought to seize cash from what it described as an illicit drug and money laundering operation and released the FBI affidavit detailing the case against the men.

FBI Special Agent Mary Trotman told The Associated Press there's no known nexus between the men and terrorism.
