Two killed, one injured in house fire

OWENTON, Ky. - A man and child were killed and a woman was injured after a house fire in Northern Kentucky.

Kentucky State Police say the fire broke out early Friday, and a preliminary investigation indicates it started in the kitchen.

Police said 31-year-old Brock Morgan of Greensburg, Ind., and a 2-year-old child whose name was not given both died at the scene.

Police said the child's mother, 30-year-old Katherine Perry of Owenton, suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to University of Cincinnati Hospital. A hospital spokeswoman said she was in stable condition Friday night.
