LEXINGTON, Ky. -  Police in Lexington have recaptured a man who escaped from the Adair County Regional Jail.

According to WLEX-TV, officers spotted 24-year-old Antonio Howard at a convenience store early Monday as they investigated a stolen car. Police say Howard took off on foot, but officers caught up with him about a block away.

Howard was service a five-year drug sentence when he walked away from the minimum-security jail in Adair County in August.
