STANTON, Ky. - Kentucky State Police say a central Kentucky man shot and killed his girlfriend, then called 911 dispatchers and told them about the shooting.
State Police Sgt. Jim Bowling told WKYT-TV in Lexington that 66-year-old Ralph Allyn shot 64-year-old Barbara Martin of Powell County twice in the head at about 7:43 a.m. EDT Sunday.
Martin was pronounced dead on the scene by the Powell County coroner.
The Powell County Coroner's office says Martin was shot twice, once in the head, then in the chest.
Troopers say Allyn called 911 dispatchers and told them he shot Martin.
