Police arrest man wheeling body in shopping cart

PADUCAH, Ky. - A man who police say was found with a body in a shopping cart pleaded not guilty to a murder charge in the case.

The Paducah Sun reports Paducah police arrested 36-year-old Michael C. Russian on Sunday after he was found with the body of 25-year-old Adam L. Bullock.

Police believe Bullock was killed early Friday, then his body hidden in a storage unit for two days.

Detective Sgt. Brian Laird said Russian removed the body Sunday morning and wheeled it more than eight blocks toward the floodwall. Witnesses reported to police that a man appeared to be pushing a body in a shopping cart.

Laird said Bullock had several wounds that appeared to be from blunt force trauma, but the cause of death hasn't been determined.
