ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. - Kentucky State Police are investigating a shooting involving a trooper in Hardin County.
State Police spokesman Trooper Norman Chaffins told The Courier-Journal that a trooper stopped a man during a burglary investigation near Elizabethtown at about 6:30 EST Saturday. Chaffins says at some point, the trooper shot the man, who is in stable condition at University Hospital in Louisville.
Chaffins did not have any details about what led up to the shooting. The names of the trooper and the man who was shot were not immediately released.
