Child dies after being hit by vehicle

BEDFORD, Ky. - Just yards from her family’s home a 2-year-old child was killed Thursday after being struck by a vehicle in Trimble County, Ky.

The little girl had been with her family at a yard sale in front of their home on U.S. 421 North in Bedford, Ky. The Kentucky State Police report that she ran into the roadway and was hit by a vehicle driven by a 21-year-old.

Trimble County Deputy Coroner Lee Congleton pronounced the girl dead at the scene at 11:45 a.m. Thursday, May 31.
