Five killed on Kentucky roadways last week

FRANKFORT, Ky. - Five people died in five separate crashes on Kentucky’s roadways from Monday, Nov. 12 through Sunday, Nov. 18, the Kentucky State Police report.

One of the fatal crashes involved the suspected use of alcohol and in one of the fatalities the victim was not wearing a seat belt.

Through Nov. 18, a total of 641 people have lost their lives on Kentucky roadways so far this in 2012.

Citizens can contribute to highway safety by reporting erratic drivers to the Kentucky State Police toll-free at (800) 222-5555. Callers will remain anonymous and should give a description of the vehicle, location, direction of travel and license number if possible.
