Teen killed in one-car crash

BEDFORD, Ky. - A teenager was killed and two others were injured in a crash late Monday on U.S. 421 South in Trimble County, Ky.

Dead is 15-year-old Darian Davidson of Bedford, Ky., the Kentucky State Police report. Critically injured in the crash was 16-year-old Mark Bastin of New Castle, Ky. who was flown to University Hospital in Louisville, Ky. Another passenger, Justin Russell, 17, of Smithfield, Ky. was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

According to officers a car driven by Bastin was traveling north on U.S. 421 shortly before 11:30 p.m. Monday, June 18 when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. All occupants of the car were wearing seat belts.
