Fairfield man charged with rape of 8-year-old

FAIRFIELD, Ohio - A Fairfield man was arrested for the alleged rape of an 8-year-old child.
Police say 30-year-old Jermarco Carter had sexual contact with the victim on two separate occasions in July of 2009, when the child was only 5 years old.
Carter was booked at the Hamilton County Justice Center Thursday.
He is charged with two counts of child rape and was issued a $1 million bond during his arraignment Friday.
No further details were released about the charges.
